Dukeshire Earns All-CCC Accolade

BEVERLY, Mass. – Senior Jacob Dukeshire (Nashua, N.H.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer team was named to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference third team. The announcement was made after the CCC released its 2023 all-conference honorees and major award winners on Tuesday morning.

The CCC Offensive Player of the Year was junior Benji Wright (Franklin, Tenn.) of Gordon. Two players shared CCC Defensive Player of the Year honors as senior Casey Torres (Atlanta, Ga.) of Gordon and senior Niall Shea (Portsmouth, R.I.) of Roger Williams got the nod. Freshman Dylan Thomas (Norwalk, Conn.) of Roger Williams was named CCC Rookie of the Year while senior Tiago Frazao (Trumbull, Conn.) of Endicott was named CCC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Western New England head coach Devin O'Neill earned CCC Coach of the Year honors and the University of New England earned the team sportsmanship award.

Voting for the All-CCC Teams and major awards was conducted by the eight CCC head men's soccer coaches following the conclusion of the regular season.

Dukeshire was a mainstay for Wentworth's offense this season, scoring five goals and adding one assist for 11 points across 18 appearances. His season got off to a fast start as two of his five goals came in the Leopards' season opener against Husson on September 1. The senior also totaled a team-high 18 shots on goal this season.

Dukeshire finished his career with 12 goals and five assists, good for 29 points in 50 games for the Black & Gold. He also capped of his career with five game-winning goals.

Wentworth finished the season with a 3-13-1 record, narrowly missing the CCC Tournament.
