SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – A total of nine different institutions from the Commonwealth Coast Conference were represented on the 2011-12 All-CCC Women's Basketball Team and the list of major individual award winners, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. In addition to the all-conference team, University of New England senior Kelley Paradis was named CCC Player of the Year, Salve Regina University junior Kaitlyn Birrell was selected CCC Defensive Player of the Year, Gordon College's freshman Leanna Tallamy was named CCC Rookie of the Year, University of New England's Kari Pelletier was honored as CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Eastern Nazarene College's Sacha Santimano was named CCC Coach of the Year and Gordon College received the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Voting for the All-CCC team and each of the major awards was conducted among CCC women's basketball coaches.

Wentworth sophomore forward Kendra Kerr (Marshfield, Mass.) earned all-conference accolades as she was named Honorable Mention All-CCC.

Kerr started all 25 of the Leopards' games and was the team's leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 12.8 points and 8.89 rebounds per contest, while also chipping in with 1.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game. Kerr, who had 10 double-doubles in 25 games, logged an average of 33.4 minutes per game and established career highs of 21 points, 23 rebounds, five assists, and seven steals throughout the course of the season.

Starting 43 of 50 career games in which she's played, Kerr is averaging 11.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
