BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Jared Pierce (Biddeford, Maine), junior Eli Sleasman (Albany, N.Y.), and freshman Fabrice Fouron (Easton, Mass.) combined to score 14 points while program records fell in five events as the Wentworth Institute of Technology indoor track team competed at the New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships held at The TRACK at New Balance.
Freshman Laci Santos (Medway, Mass.) set a program mark of 4.47M in the long jump while competing in the pentathlon. Senior Dionne Ang (Victoria, Australia), freshman Makayla Gasper (Manchester, Iowa), junior Eleni Christopoulos (Knoxville, Tenn.), and freshman Annie King (Wakefield, Mass.) ran a record 14:00.53 in the distance medley relay. Senior Christian Army (Pembroke, N.H.) ran a program-best 8.74 in the 60M hurdles. Sleasman topped the record book in the Pole Vault with a mark of 4.79M. Pierce broke the 16M mark in the shot put with a throw of 16.02M. The 4X400 relay tandem of senior Matt Murphy (Foxborough, Mass.), freshman Ryan Ballard (Norwalk, Conn.), sophomore Ryan Abbotoni (Windham, Maine), and sophomore Scott Stehlik (Northport, N.Y.) ran a program record 3:29.81.
