Peck Earns ECAC Northeast Weekly Honors

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Freshman goalie Alex Peck (Kirkland, Que.) of the Wentworth hockey team became the fourth Leopard to earn weekly honors from the ECAC as he was named the ECAC Northeast Rookie of the Week for the week ending December 11.

In Wentworth's lone game last week, a 2-0 loss to crosstown rival UMass Boston, Peck made 31 saves on 32 shots – including 12 in the first period – and kept the Beacons off the board for the first 37:29 before allowing a goal late in the middle period.

On the season Peck has appeared in three games for the Leopards and has posted a 1-1-1 record with a 1.63 goals against average and a .938 save percentage.

Wentworth stands at 6-4-1 and is idle until hosting Bowdon on January 3, 2012.
