CANTON, Mass. – Five different players scored goals as the Curry College ice hockey team defeated Wentworth Institute of Technology, 5-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference play Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- At the 6:07 mark of the second period, Curry took a 1-0 lead when freshman Gage Dill (Estero, Fla.) scored from senior Nick Favaro (Vaughan, Ont.) and freshman Matt Connor (Nottingham, N.H.). The Colonels increased their lead to 2-0 when Favaro and junior George Vonakis (Abingdon, Md.) set up senior Timmy Kent (Parkland, Fla.)
- On a two-man advantage, Wentworth pulled to withing a goal as junior Josh Faussett (Okemos, Mich.) and freshman Ian Worthley (Saugus, Mass.) assisted on sophomore George Weiner's (Wayne, N.J.) first marker of the season.
- Senior Austin Bellefeuille (Framingham, Mass.) started a three-goal third period for the hosts when he scored from freshman Tyler Drummond (Baldwin, N.Y.) and junior Nolan Dawson (Calgary, Alta.) at 5:33. Favaro picked up his third helper of the night when he and graduate student Tarek Paranica (Grand Forks, N.D.) assisted on a goal from sophomore Kevin Pitts (Pointe-Claire, Que.) at 9:08. With 19 seconds remaining, sophomore Leevi Selänne (Coto de Caza, Calif.) fed freshman Killian Rowlee (Fulton, N.Y.) to make it 5-1.
- Freshman Jack McGovern (Ancaster, Ont.) made 29 saves for Wentworth.
SERIES NOTES:
- Tonight was the 52nd all-time meeting between the two teams. Winners of five straight in the series, Curry leads 29-18-5.
