BOSTON, Mass. – For the second consecutive week, freshman forward Amanda Weinberger (Colchester, Conn.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. The honor encompasses games played from October 7-13.

In a 1-1 week for the Leopards, Weinberger tallied two goals and added an assist for a five-point week. Weinberger scored a goal in Wentworth's 3-2 loss to UMass Boston before factoring in both goals in the Black & Gold's 2-0 win at Western New England. In that contest she assisted on what would hold as the game-winning tally in the 62nd minute of action before scoring an insurance goal – off a rebound of a blocked shot – in the 82nd minute of play.

Through 13 games for the 5-6-2 Leopards, she has made 11 starts and is second on the team in scoring with five goals and three assists for 13 points. She has scored at least one point in the team's last four contests.

Wentworth steps out of conference play on Thursday as the Leopards travel to Framingham State.
