SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - All 10 member institutions from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) were represented on the 2013 All-CCC Women's Soccer Team. In addition to the all-conference team, five major individual award winners and a team sportsmanship award winner were also selected.

Roger Williams University senior Katie Lydon was named CCC Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Jessica Reade (senior) was honored with the CCC Defensive Player of the Year award. Wentworth Institute of Technology freshman Amanda Weinberger (Colchester, Conn.) was selected as CCC Rookie of the Year, Endicott College senior Sarah Person was tabbed CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Endicott's Jodi Kenyon earned CCC Coach of the Year. Nichols College was the recipient of the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Voting for the All-CCC team and each of the major awards was conducted among CCC women's soccer coaches.

In addition to Weinberger earning the league's top rookie honors, junior forward Olivia Moore (Salem, Conn.) was named First Team All-CCC and a pair of freshmen – midfielder Morgan Miller (Schenectady, N.Y.) and defender Rachel Perras (Portsmouth, R.I.) – earned honorable mention all-league accolades.

Just the second player in the 16-year history of the Leopard women's soccer program to earn conference rookie of the year honors, Weinberger had an impressive debut for the Black & Gold as the she is currently tied for third in goals and points in conference action with five goals (eight overall) and 12 points (19 overall). Weinberger has started in 16 of the Leopards' 18 games this season and claimed back-to-back CCC Rookie of the Week honors on October 7 and 14. She tallied three points in a 5-4 win over regionally ranked Western Connecticut on September 30 and scored two of her team's three goals in a 3-3 tie at Eastern Nazarene on October 22.

Moore has played in 17 of the Leopards' 18 contests and holds the program's single-season scoring record with 39 points (16 goals, seven assists), breaking the old mark of 38 which was set by the program's only other CCC Rookie of the Year, Kristen Kudlic, in 2008. After not scoring in the team's first three games, she has had five multiple-goal games and recorded five or more points in a game on three occasions. Additionally, her 16 goals this season are the second most in a season in program history, and, in 54 career games she has 27 goals and 11 assists for 65 points, which ranks her third on the program's all-time scoring list.

Perras has started all 18 contests for the Leopards and has been a mainstay on defense, helping the Leopards to allow 10 fewer goals in conference play this season than they did in 2012. In nine league games, opponents were held to one or fewer goals five times, including a pair of shutouts. Perras also had an assist in Wentworth's 6-1 win over Curry on October 5.

Miller has started 17 of Wentworth's 18 contests and has had a solid year as a defensive midfielder. Considered to be the team's workhorse at midfield, she controlled possession for the Leopards and her versatility often led to many offensive chances for the Black & Gold. She recorded an assist in a 2-2 tie against the University of New England on October 29.

Wentworth sits at 6-8-4 overall and tied with the University of New England for fourth place with a 4-3-2 CCC record. The two teams will face each other in Biddeford, Maine, on Saturday in a CCC Quarterfinal at Noon.
