CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Freshman forward Devin Cobbold (Ottawa, Ont.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology hockey team has been named the ECAC Northeast Rookie of the Week for games played through January 6.
Cobbold had two goals and an assist to help Wentworth to a third-place finish at the 48th Annual Codfish Bowl. In a 5-2 loss to host UMass Boston he had a third period goal and had a goal and an assist in the Leopards' 2-1 win over Fitchburg State in the third-place game.
He has played in 12 of the team's 14 (7-6-1 overall, 3-2 ECAC Northeast) contests and has a team-high seven goals to go along with four assists for 11 points. His 11 points tie him for second on the team.
Wentworth resumes play on Tuesday, January 15, when the Leopards host Tufts at 8:15 p.m.
