Moore to Play in NEWISA Senior Bowl

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Olivia Moore (Salem, Conn.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer team will extend her outstanding career by one more game as she was selected to participate in the 2014 New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association Senior Bowl. The game will take place on Saturday, December 6, at 2:30 p.m., at Merrimack College.

This season Moore started 16 of the 18 games in which she played, tallying seven goals and three assists for 13 points. Three of her seven goals came as the seventh-seeded Leopards stunned second-seeded Endicott, 4-2, in the quarterfinal round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament and, after Wentworth tied third-seeded Eastern Nazarene (1-1) in the semifinals, Moore's penalty kick gave the Black & Gold a 5-4 win, advancing them to the CCC finals for the first time since 2003.

A two-time All-Commonwealth Coast Conference selection and 2013 NEWISA All-New England selection, Moore started 71 of the 74 games in which she played in over her career and ranks second on the Leopards career scoring list with 85 points. She is second in career goals with 35, tied for second with nine game-winning goals, and sixth with 15 assists. Her 85 career points include a program-record 42 a season ago.

Wentworth finished the season with a 9-9-4 record. The Leopards advanced to the CCC finals for the first time since the 2003 season and tied top-seeded Roger Williams, 1-1, in the championship game before the Hawks captured the conference title with a 4-1 win in the penalty kick round. The Leopards earned their first ECAC Tournament berth since the 2005 season where they fell at Westfield State, 3-0.
