BEVERLY, Mass. – Following an efficient week at the faceoff spot, senior Connor Charron (Tewksbury, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team earned recognition by the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tuesday afternoon. The senior claimed Specialist of the Week honors for games played February 26-March 3.
In Wentworth's 17-9 win over Sage, Charron went 17-for-21 at the X and collected nine ground balls as well as two goals. Three days later versus St. Joseph's (Me.), the faceoff specialist went 21-for-27 and recorded a season-high 12 ground balls.
The Leopards are 2-1 this season and are playing NAIA's No. 2-ranked Webber International today and Clark in Clearwater, Fla. on March 8 as part of their annual spring break trip.
