BEVERLY, Mass. – A fast start in the opening week of the season for the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's basketball team landed the Leopards with recognition by the Commonwealth Coast Conference league office Monday afternoon. Junior Tyler Stewart (East Taunton, Mass.) was named Co-Player of the Week for games played November 6-12.

Last season's all-conference honoree picked up right where he left off a season ago, dropping 22 of the Leopards' 60 points in a narrow 60-59 win over Norwich. Stewart also added seven rebounds, two assists, and two blocks to his stat line before scoring 27 points on 8-for-11 shooting in a tight loss to Worcester State. The forward totaled nine rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks against the Lancers as well.

The Black & Gold are 1-1 this season and host Sarah Lawrence on Saturday.
