SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Freshman forward Beverly Farris (Palmer, Mass.) of the Leopard women's soccer team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 4. The award was announced this afternoon by the conference office.

In the Leopards' lone game of last week, she factored in three of Wentworth's four goals in a 4-2 win at New England College. Farris, who recorded two goals and an assist, scored her first collegiate goal at 38:26 and added an assist at the 71:51 mark, on a goal that held up as the game-winning tally. Twenty-nine seconds later she put Wentworth on top, 4-1, with her second goal of the game.

Through two games for the 2-0 Leopards, Farris is the team's leading scorer with two goals and two assists for six points.

Wentworth travels to Clark on Wednesday, September 7, at 4:00 p.m.
