BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Addie LeGault (Farmington, Conn.) scored a pair of goals and an assist as the Emmanuel College women's soccer team defeated Wentworth Institute of Technology, 6-1, in non-conference action Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Wentworth put four shots on net in a nine-minute span, with two of those coming from senior Madison Wolf (Farmington, Maine) and the other two coming from junior Madelyn Seder (Marlborough, Mass.).
  • Emmanuel scored at the 21:02 mark when freshman Liz McCormick (Cumberland, R.I.) served a corner kick to senior Catherine Manning (Peabody, Mass.). The 1-0 lead held until freshman Maya Daryanani (Raynham, Mass.) scored from LeGault at 40:53.
  • LeGault scored twice in a span of 3:33 to make it a 4-0 game before freshman Sarah Dullaghan (Belmont, Mass.) upped the lead to 5-0 with a goal at 68:40.
  • Wentworth got on the board at 7:37 when freshman Avril Quiroga (Santo Domingo, D.R.) netted her first collegiate goal. Quiroga took advantage of a failed Saints clear to record the marker.
  • McCormick completed the scoring when she scored off a direct kick with 39 seconds left.

THE SERIES:

  • Tonight was the 24th all-time meeting between the two teams. Emmanuel now leads, 11-10-3.
