BOSTON, Mass. – Crosstown rival Emerson College needed three sets and exactly one hour to defeat the Wentworth women's volleyball team as the Lions tamed the Leopards, 25-7, 25-21, 25-16, in a non-conference match.
After hitting in negative numbers for the first set, the Leopards had a strong second set, where they hit .217 and were involved in a back and forth battle the entire set. Wentworth had an early lead in the third set, but Emerson pulled away for the match-clinching victory.
Freshman Julie Rahilly (Nashua, N.H.) had seven kills, while senior Courtney Zink (East Falmouth, Mass.) had 16 assists.
