BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts women's volleyball team took the first set, 25-14, over Wentworth and never looked back, en route to a 3-0 win in a non-league contest played at Wentworth.

The Beacons, who received votes in the AVCA National Poll for the first time in program history, wasted little time claiming their ninth straight win, finishing the match in just 46 minutes.  The final two sets were decided by identical 25-9 scores.

Sophomore Julie Bruton (Montgomery, Texas) led the way with five kills and a pair of blocks, while freshman Julie Rahilly (Nashua, N.H.) had three kills and six digs.
