Bruton Named All-TCCC

BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore middle hitter Julie Bruton (Montgomery, Texas) of the Wentworth women's volleyball team has earned Honorable Mention All-The Commonwealth Coast Conference honors.  The announcement came after a vote of the league's 11 head coaches and was announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg Kaye.

 

For the second season in a row, Bruton was honored as an honorable mention selection after putting up impressive numbers this season.  Playing in 97 of a possible 97 sets over 29 matches, Bruton averaged 2.60 kills, 2.92 digs, and 0.39 aces per set.  She led the team with a .185 hitting percentage, 252 kills, 35 aces, 43 blocks, 315 points, and 283 digs.  Her 252 kills and 283 digs were the fourth highest single-season performance in that category in the program's history and over the course of two seasons she is second all-time with a .188 hitting percentage, fifth with 466 kills, and ninth with 508 digs.
