Wentworth Falls to UMass Dartmouth

Wentworth Falls to UMass Dartmouth

BOSTON, Mass. – Wentworth's women's volleyball team participated in its first-ever "Dig Pink" night in an effort to raise money and awareness for breast cancer during its match against UMass Dartmouth.  However, the Leopards, wearing pink jerseys for the occasion, dropped their match to the Corsairs, 3-0.

After losing the first set, 25-16, Wentworth battled back to take a late lead in the second set before UMass Dartmouth prevailed, 26-24.  The Corsairs closed out the match in the third set with a 25-16 win.

Senior Courtney Zink (East Falmouth, Mass.) had 21 assists and in the process became the first Wentworth volleyball player to eclipse the 2,000-assist mark.  She would also record eight digs.  Sophomore Julie Bruton (Montgomery, Texas) and junior Jen Giudice (Central Valley, N.Y.) had nine and eight kills, respectively.
