Annon, Miller Earn CCC Weekly Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After going 3-0 in their first three games of the season, a pair of Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer players have been recognized by the Commonwealth Coast Conference as juniors Mary Annon (Concord, N.H.) and Morgan Miller (Schenectady, N.Y.) earned offensive and defensive player of the week, respectively.

Annon recorded a seven-point week for the Black & Gold as she tallied three goals and assisted on one other. She had a goal in each of Wentworth's games, scoring in 2-0 wins over Clark and New England College and tallying the only goal in a 1-0 win over William Paterson.

Miller had a stellar week on both sides of the pitch as, offensively, she had a goal and an assist against Clark and assisted on Annon's marker against William Paterson. On the defensive side, she helped the Leopards post three straight shutouts for the first time since 2005 and helped hold opponents to just eight shots on goal in three games.

Off to its best start since 2002, Wentworth hosts Emmanuel this evening.
