BEVERLY, Mass. - The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team fell to Endicott College in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, as the Gulls took an 8-1 victory over the Leopards Thursday, April 14.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Senior Kevin Salomon (West Newton, Mass.) and sophomore Daniel Gallegos (Monterrey, Mexico) were defeated in #1 doubles by an 8-2 score, as Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.) and Brennan Nick (Tolland, Conn.) claimed victory in the match. Collin Dinardo (Westport, Mass.) and Janith Madhok (New Delhi, India) were victorious for the Gulls in #2 doubles, defeating graduate student Harrison Maki (Rutland, Mass.) and Pranav Marwaha (Nashua, N.H.) 8-1. Endicott won #3 doubles 8-0, as Julian Richtarich (Naples, Fla.) and Oliver Pope (Dartmouth, Mass.) defeated senior Sam Ferro (Whitman, Mass.) and junior Kevin Shields (East Longmeadow, Mass.).
• Gallegos was victorious for the Leopards in #1 singles, defeating Rinkert in a three-set affair. The sophomore won the first set 7-6, then dropped the second 7-5. He then came back to win an 11-9 decision in the third to pick up the win. Marwaha lost in straight sets to Madhok, falling 6-0, 6-0 in #2 singles. Richtarich then defeated Maki in third singles action 6-1, 6-1, and Pople came away with a win against junior Malo Legouin (Nanterre, France), winning 6-0, 6-0 at #4 singles. Dinardo won by the same score in fifth singles against Ferro, and George Danes (Old Lyme, Conn.) won in #6 singles for Endicott, picking up a 6-1, 6-0 win over junior Owen Conlon (Cataumet, Mass.).
