LEXINGTON, Ky. – Ahead of their season tipping off this upcoming Saturday, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team placed second in the American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) weekly poll, their highest-ever ranking received across the program's bestowed history.

Their top-two ranking comes a week after being ranked third in the AVCA preseason poll and No. 1 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference preseason poll.

Wentworth opens their season with a tri-match on January 20 against two teams gaining recognition on the national stage. The Leopards travel to Cambridge to play host MIT, who continued to receive votes in this week's poll, and No. 1 Stevens, who opens their season with a current 3-0 record.
