#2 Men's Volleyball Sweeps GNAC Weekly Awards

BOSTON, Mass. – On the heels of the program's first-ever win over reigning national champion and No. 1 Stevens, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team earned recognition from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference for their performance this past weekend. The Leopards swept the conference's weekly awards, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. The awards are for matches played January 15-21.

Senior Jacob LaBouliere (Pipersville, Pa.) was named GNAC Offensive Player of the Week, while graduate student Brandon Dunz (Lake View, N.Y.) earned GNAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Taking home GNAC Setter of the Week honors was junior Josh Milke (Eastampton, N.J.), while freshman Conner Foxwell (Harrisburg, Pa.) was named GNAC Rookie of the Week.

LaBouliere totaled 30 kills across the Leopards' two wins, smashing 3.75 kills per set at a .250 clip. The senior outside hitter also recorded three block assists and three service aces.

Dunz was a wall for Wentworth, providing one solo block and eleven block assists across the two wins. He also tabbed offensive tallies of 15 total kills and a hitting percentage of .458.

Milke, a catalyst for the Black & Gold's offense, recorded nine assists per set and totaled 72 across the two matches. The junior also chipped in with four total kills, nine digs, and four blocks.

Foxwell shined in his rookie debut against No. 1 Stevens, smacking 11 kills at an impressive .625 rate. Averaging 2.20 kills per set, the middle hitter also recorded four blocks, including two solo.

The Leopards are 2-0 this season and host the Fenway Volleyball Classic January 27-28, first taking on Endicott and New Paltz on Saturday.
