UNANIMOUS: #1 Men's Volleyball Earns First-Ever Unanimous No. 1 Ranking

LEXINGTON, Ky. – History continues to be made for the top-ranked Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team as, after earning their first-ever top ranking in the AVCA/NVA Division III Poll a week ago, the Leopards were named the unanimous No. 1 this week. The Black & Gold earned all 23 first-place votes and accumulated all 460 possible points for the first time ever in the program's history. Last week, the Leopards became the first team to ever claim the number one spot in any poll.

Wentworth's ranking this week comes on the heels of sweeping the first-ever Fenway Volleyball Classic Tournament, cruising past then-No. 13 New Paltz, Endicott, Baruch, and freshly ranked No. 19 Nichols. Rounding out the AVCA's top five are Stevens, Southern Virginia, Cal Lutheran, and St. John Fisher.

In addition, Wentworth occupied the top spot in FrogJump Volleyball's Power Rankings and had senior Jacob LaBouliere (Pipersville, Pa.) and junior Josh Milke (Eastampton, N.J.) earn respective spots on the organization's Team of the Week.

The unbeaten Leopards open their conference slate Thursday versus Dean.
