Wentworth to Participate in NCAA Diversity and Inclusion Campaign

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology Athletic Department is pleased to participate in the NCAA's Third Annual Diversity and Inclusion Social Media Campaign this week.

The campaign, scheduled Oct. 27-29, is a prime opportunity for student-athletes, administrators, coaches, and fans across the country to use their platform to create a dialogue surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion and to communicate the need and importance of developing inclusive environments.

Coordinated by The NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee and the national Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in each of the Association's three divisions, this campaign focuses on one theme in each of the three days:

Day 1 (Tuesday, Oct. 27): "My Story Matters": exploring student-athletes' identities, perspectives, and experiences (Twitter | Instagram)
Day 2 (Wednesday, Oct. 28): "I've Got Your Back": showcasing student-athletes supporting each other to foster inclusive environments (Twitter | Instagram)
Day 3 (Thursday, Oct. 29): "Together We Rise": outlining personal action steps to inclusive excellence and celebrating collaboration across the campus community (Twitter | Instagram)

In addition, the department kicked off the week by featuring "In Their Own Words" on Monday (Oct. 26) where student-athletes both defined diversity and what it means to them (Twitter | Instagram). We will conclude the week by sharing our beliefs as a department on Friday, Oct. 30 (Twitter | Instagram).
