In honor of Black History Month, Wentworth is celebrating some of our notable black student-athletes who have made an impact in their respective sports and in the Wentworth community. Today we highlight freshman Ez Njoku of the men's basketball team.
Why Wentworth?
- My coach really made me feel welcome and Boston was enticing. Not to mention the Engineering programs are very well respected.
Favorite snack?
- Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos.
Your hype song?
- None of This by Nipsey Hussle
Do you sing in the shower or in the car? Or both?
- Both
Is there a tradition, event, or food you enjoy with family and/or friends to celebrate your heritage?
- Not really a tradition, it's more the lifestyle that we live. My heritage influences everything from what I eat, what music I listen to and how I dress and behave.
Any game day superstitions?
- Nothing superstitious but I like to eat and rest two hours before then get a good warm up come game time.
If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be?
- Nipsey Hussle, he overcame many odds in his life and is somebody whose growth mindset I try to emulate.
Could you share something about yourself you would like people to know?
- I'm a pretty straight forward and laid-back person that enjoys hanging out with friends and teammates and I try my best to be there for anybody who needs me.
