HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Colby-Sawyer took a 1-0 lead at the 26:25 mark when freshman Jadon Baros (Colorado Springs, Colo.) scored off a feed from senior Tim Driscoll (Framingham, Mass.).
  • After a shot on goal from senior Kaleb Gebremeskel (Georgetown, Texas) was saved and the Leopards eventually regained possession on a throw-in, Dukeshire scored his first collegiate goal when he tapped in a misplayed ball by the keeper.
  • A Leopard corner kick in the 51st minute resulted in Edwin, Jr., obtaining the ball and putting a shot inside the left post to give the Black & Gold a 2-1 lead.
  • Wentworth's defense allowed just two shots in the second half; neither of which went on net to hang on for the win
  • Senior Robbie West (Weymouth, Mass.) made one save in the win. Wentworth had a 19-6 shot advantage on the day.

THE SERIES:

  • Today marked the 21st all-time meeting between the two teams. Wentworth leads the series, 10-9-2, and is 3-0-2 in the last five meetings.

NEXT UP:

  • Wentworth (1-2) hosts Salem State Wednesday afternoon.
