HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The game was scoreless throughout much of the first half, but the Leopards then turned on the offense and scored at a fast pace. Senior TJ Prouty (Glendora, Calif.) picked up his first goal of the season in the 36th minute to get Wentworth on the board.
  • After that, Gosselin began his rapid-fire scoring with his first of the season in the 38th minute. Just 56 seconds later he tallied his second, and followed that with a hat-trick goal only 31 seconds after, giving the Leopards a 4-0 lead heading into the intermission.
  • The home team continued its scoring touch in the second half, and once again it was Gosslin. After a foul in front of the net, the senior was awarded a penalty shot, which he buried to extend the lead to five goals.
  • Sophomore Andrea Colmenares (Caracas, Venezuela) rung up his second goal of the season in the 70th minute, and senior Jomar Martins (Braintree, Mass.) finished out the scoring with first of the year in the 72nd minute.
  • Senior Robbie West (Weymouth, Mass.) picked up his second victory of the season, making one save in the effort. Sophomore Noah Lawless (Whitefish Bay, Wisc.) played the second half and made one save as well.

  • Tonight was the 10th ever meeting between the two teams, with Wentworth now holding an 8-1-1 all-time record.
