HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Engineers made it 2-0 at the 32:40 mark when senior Erik Herrera (San Diego, Calif.) threaded a long pass down the far side to sophomore Aaron Vaz (Medford, Mass.) who tucked a shot inside the far post.
  • Wentworth cut into the lead the 58:53 mark. Sophomore Jacob Dukeshire (Nashua, N.H.) flicked a header towards the net where senior TJ Prouty (Glendora, Calif.) put a shot inside the left post.
  • WPI looked to add to its lead with three shots on net in a four-minute span, however, junior Louis Quintero (Boston, Mass.) made three saves, including one diving to his right.
  • The Leopards had a chance to tie the game in the 88th minute after a foul and a yellow card gave the Black & Gold a set piece from 25 yards out. However, the bid went high.
  • Junior Roe Hendrick (Nashua, N.H.) made six saves for WPI. Nasr made three stops for Wentworth in the first half while Quintero made five over the final 45:00.
