BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team continued its undefeated stretch in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play this past week and collected awards along the way, as junior Jacob LaBouliere (Pipersville, Pa.) was named the GNAC Offensive Player of the Week and freshman Matthew Zegowitz (Westford, Mass.) was named GNAC Rookie of the Week. The awards are for games played from February 20-26.
LaBouliere averaged 4.00 kills, 1.33 service aces, 1.33 digs, and .67 blocks per set in a 3-0 sweep over Rivier on February 25. LaBouliere totaled 12 kills, four aces, and four digs in the contest.
Zegowitz earned his second Rookie of the Week award hitting .727 against Rivier, totaling eight kills and four block assists in the Leopards' sixth conference win of the season.
Wentworth is 8-6 through the season and visits Lasell to continue their conference slate on Thursday.
