Seven from Men's Volleyball Earn All-Conference Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – Seven student-athletes on the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team have been honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference as the league announced its all-conference teams and major award winners on Monday morning. 
 
The all-conference teams and major award winners were voted on by the league's nine head coaches prior to the start of the conference tournament. 
 
Junior Jacob LaBouliere (Pipersville, Pa.) took home GNAC Offensive Player of the Year honors for the second straight season after averaging 4.77 kills per set across 19 matches while leading the league with 305 kills. LaBouliere smashed his previous career high hitting percentage of .407 this season, hitting .460 while breaking another career high in digs per set with 1.70. He has also notched 25 service aces this season. 
 
In addition to being named the league's offensive player of the year, LaBouliere earned First Team All-GNAC honors for a second straight season and, on Monday morning, was honored by FrogJump Volleyball as its Outside Hitter of the Year. 
 
Freshman Brayden Green (Lake Worth, Fla.) was named the conference's rookie of the year after dishing out 582 assists across 27 matches. His 7.56 assists per set are fifth highest in the GNAC and he also has a hitting percentage of .393 and has recorded 84 digs. 
 
In addition to being named the conference's rookie of the year, Green was also named to both the all-conference third team and the all-rookie team. 
 
Senior Hunter Oshman (Pennington, N.J.) earned First Team All-GNAC honors, after earning second team honors a season ago. Oshman has notched 260 kills across 28 matches, averaging 2.77 kills per set. The senior also has recorded a career high in blocks with 59 and hit .310, good for fourth-highest league-wide. 
 
Sophomore Sam Etter (Massillon, Ohio) earned his first all-conference nod by being named to the Second Team All-GNAC. The outside hitter broke previous career-highs in nearly every statistical category, striking 245 kills across 27 matches. He also notched a career-high hitting percentage of .296, good for the fifth-highest in the GNAC, and added 110 digs. 
 
Freshman Nicolai Bell (Moraga, Calif.) had an impressive rookie campaign, notching 104 kills and 1.41 kills per set across 24 matches. To date he has recorded 54 blocks and 0.73 blocks per set, good for the fifth-highest in the GNAC. Bell's season also earned him FrogJump Volleyball All-Freshman Team honors as well as a spot on the GNAC All-Rookie Team. 
 
Freshman Mason Andrade (North Kingstown, R.I.) earned all-rookie team honors after recording a team-high 210 digs, with his 1.91 digs per set ranking him fifth in the GNAC. 
 
Freshman Gabe Tucker (East Greenbush, N.Y.) earned GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team honors. In 14 matches, Tucker has a stat line of 28 kills, 28 digs, and 18 service aces. 
 
On the heels of the team's second straight GNAC Championship, Wentworth (26-7) earned its third straight NCAA Tournament berth. The Leopards will square off against St. John Fisher in the opening round on Friday, April 21, in Hoboken, N.J., at a time to be announced.
