Gallegos, Rodriguez Named to All-Conference Teams

BOSTON, Mass. – A pair of Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis student-athletes have been honored by the Commonwealth Coast Conference as all-conference honorees as the league announced its major awards and all-conference teams on Tuesday. Junior Daniel Gallegos (Monterrey, Mexico) was named to the second team in singles, while Gallegos and freshman Rene Rodriguez (Doral, Fla.) teamed up to earn Third Team All-CCC honors in doubles.

A mainstay at No. 1 singles, Gallegos has been honored for the third consecutive season as a second team selection. He posted a 10-8 record, with four of those wins coming in CCC play. His 10 wins this season ties him for the fourth-most in a single season in program history and matches his career high, set last season. For his career he now has 22 wins, which ranks him fourth on the program's all-time list.

The duo of Gallegos and Rodrguez posted a 5-5 record at No. 1 doubles and each student-athlete picked up six total doubles wins this season, all of which came at No. 1. For Gallegos, this is the second time he's been honored as an All-CCC selection in doubles, having been named to the second team during his freshman season.

Wentworth advanced to the CCC Tournament for the third straight season.
